Sometimes adding a print or texture to black makes it even more slimming. That's what Robin Piccone did when she added a batik print to this black halter swimsuit.

Notice how the batik print creates the illusion of the waist. Swimsuit designers shaped the print into a inverted "V" shape. Immediately the hips look smaller. The batik print flows over the bust to perfectly frame the plunging neckline. That in itself makes the body look narrower.

The halter bathingsuit back is bare, but not too bare. The back scoops down just above the waist. A woman can comfortably sit with confidence. Contemporary and attractive swimsuits for women over 40 can be hard to find. I think this one strikes the perfect balance between coverage and bareness.
